My Project

The materials, that I am requesting for my students, have been hand picked to foster a sense of wonder and exploration. On a previous project, we were grateful to receive an Oculus Quest 2 which has been utilized to explore new places and travel back in time. My students love putting on the head set and being transported to a new place or point in history. We will use the the Oculus Quest 2 charging station to keep the Oculus charged and ready to go for our next adventure.

My students are full of wonder and curiosity so they enjoy reading and learning about different topics such as weather, animals, decades in time, and the people who have influenced history.

With these new books, my students will be able to increase their knowledge by reading nonfiction text. I have selected a wide variety of topics that tie in with our school's science and social studies curriculum, as well as my students interests. It makes me so happy to see them with a book in their hand reading, asking questions, and making discoveries! They will be able to read about Ben Franklin and all his contributions to our country. They will be able to read and learn about tornados and how they are formed. I plan to use these books for independent reading, as well as a read aloud. This project will help improve my students reading comprehension and reading abilities. I cannot wait to see how these resources positively impact my students!
