My Project

Our school tried to pilot a specials program where all of the pre-k students would go through a rotation of specials which included music, art, science, media, and PE. Unfortunately this only lasted a few weeks since the specials teachers were not prepared for the special needs students.

I am continuing this experience for my students in the classroom, and we are in need of some music equipment to make it successful.

Children learn through music, and I want to enhance my special needs pre-k students' learning by providing them with a variety of instruments for hands-on learning of patterns and rhythm. They will benefit from learning to imitate a pattern or rhythm when learning letters, numbers, rhyming, syllables, and more along with the hands-on experience through instruments.
