My Students

My classroom is a vibrant place where students are encouraged to explore mathematical concepts and a safe environment where students can take risks and challenge themselves.

My classroom is filled with mathletes in training who are extremely proficient in using technology.

Everyday, students are exposed to technology and have learned to embrace it and build upon their knowledge through the use of the various technologies available in my classroom.

My Project

My students love using chromebooks. Students in my class have access to chromebooks on a daily basis and are lucky enough that our school has a chrome cart for every classroom. Students love being able to use the chromebooks to go on programs such as Khan Academy, Sumdog, and Knowre and watch or interact with the program to build their math skills. The headphones I am requesting will allow students to listen to the videos that are part of the computer programs and gain a deeper understanding of the concept.

This project will make a difference in how my students learn.

Many of my students are self-directed learners who like to go at their own pace. By supporting this project, students will be able to use the headphones purchased for this project to watch videos on Knowre or Khan Academy as a means to further their understanding of various mathematical concepts or even explore other concepts.
