My Students

I teach 28 energetic 3rd grade students who come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences. I have some students from low income families, some who receive free/reduced lunch, and others who have a Student Success Team. We come from a small school at the farthest end of the valley, but we have a big heart.

Third graders make a big transition from lower elementary to upper elementary, and they still need to advance through it with fun, engaging, and useful materials.

My students love to dance, do art projects, and experience learning through hands-on activities. What they need most is an inclusive, safe environment where they feel at ease and can be ready to learn. They are a spirited bunch and are enthusiastic about learning.

My Project

The Building Brick STEM Kit will challenge my students with creating structures, mazes, and other hands-on engineering projects. It will improve their 21st Century learning skills and test their creativity.

As our school transitions to an Urban Planning Magnet School, the Water Shortage and Windmill Designer STEM Kits will help my students learn about developing our community in an interactive way.

The Water Shortage Project-Based kit will help my students understand the importance of conserving water for ourselves and the environment. The Windmill Designer Kit will help them understand how to utilize our environments natural resources. The printer ink will help my students in being able to begin utilizing the technology in our classroom while making their work come to life with color.
