My Project

I have been a Para Educator for 22 years. I love my job as well as working with my students and families. Building an academic and social-emotional foundation. My students enjoy coming to school for so many reasons and I have built a great relationship with my parents. They like to learn, make knew friends, socialize, feel safe, be heard, and feel love. I'm super proud of the progress my students have made over the course of a school year. Some of the scholars come to school with no prior knowledge or exposure to the skills we learn in Pre-K class. By the end of the school year most of our scholars have mastered those skills. Having engaging, fun materials is so important for them to master the Pre-K standards.

I would like to emerge our class in some cultural arts with the purchase of rhythm sticks, brushes, paint sticks, and other art supplies such as a drawing boards.

To preserve their artwork and small group centers, I have asked for laminating sheets. I would love to build a home feeling to our house center with a small rug. To help the noise level in the classroom I have also asked for individual headphones and a headphone holder.

I hope with your help we can make these additions to our classroom and give new experiences to these young learners. This will help them to be more successful in Kindergarten.
