My Project

We work in an all inclusive classroom with children who have recently migrated here from different places across the globe. We also work with children with special needs. This type of classroom needs specific tools to equip every type of learner. As early learners of life and language, students require a welcoming environment containing many tactile, sensory and ELL games and opportunities. We strive to make all of our students feel comfortable and safe. We believe giving them different modes and ways to express their feelings is important. Whether it's through drawing, making sculptures from kinetic sand, play dough, or using various sensory bins, these materials will help provide a calming activity to soothe children in a time of need. We like to promote different languages and cultures throughout our class and the ELL posters and activities will help to enhance diversity. We want our students to have fun while exploring.

Most times in Pre-k sensory bins, playdough, and kinetic sand can get all over our floor and rugs.

We unfortunately do not have a vacuum in our classroom, and and are asking for one to help keep our classroom clean and insect free.
