My Students

What do my future authors, CEOs, artists, doctors and teachers have in common? They all love to share!

My thirty-one fifth graders are a diverse bunch and already have big plans for themselves.

They love to read, create art out of nothing, solve puzzles, write short stories and debate with each other. Being able to share all their hard work would make their classroom experience even better.

My Project

With a document camera, students will be able to improve their math, reading and writing skills. They will help each other become better writers by peer editing their drafts and proudly presenting their published pieces. Students will be able to defend solutions to math problems and share alternate methods of solving them. Instead of crowding around a table during science experiments, the whole class will get a clear view of bubbling volcanoes and whirling bottle tornadoes.

A document camera will not only help my students develop their math and literacy skills but will allow them to take pride in their work and become confident and involved members of our classroom.
