My Project

My students are in the midst of creating their biomedical innovations. They have completed their first prototype and now need to engage their peers and other end users in a meaningful way to gather feedback on their projects. In this next phase, they will be required to create a focus group guide and run 1-2 focus groups to gather feedback on their innovation projects. These projects are in their early stages, and gathering constructive feedback from focus group participants will be crucial in helping my students refine their products for the next iteration.

These snacks will help support them in recruitment for their focus groups as well as the smooth running of the groups as they engage with participants.

I am so grateful for your support in helping them learn this skill. Many have built an app for the first time, so understanding how users navigate it is an important skill.

Some examples of the innovative projects include:

Mental Health Support App for Bipolarism: This app aims to help individuals with their allies to manage bipolar disorder by providing mood tracking, medication reminders, and coping strategies.

Birth Control Symptom Tracker: This app helps users track the side effects of birth control. It aims to provide users to with data to engage their health care providers in better reproductive care.

Cancer Screening Promotion Public Health Campaign App: This student is working to encourage regular cancer screenings to increase awareness and promote preventive healthcare, especially for at-risk populations.
