This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

To say that this time has been a challenge in education, is an understatement! Understandably, the ones feeling it the most are our students.

Since we have now been told that remote learning will continue for the start of the school year, I am trying to prepare to better meet their needs.

I am in a permanent search of new tools and paths to to help my students remain motivated. Distance learning has not been easy for my economically disadvantaged students. I try to meet the needs of all my students, but the truth is I am lacking the tools, resources and materials to fully engage them from home and keep them motivated.

During our zoom meetings, I would like for my students to be able to clearly see and hear my lessons. It would be so helpful to be able to check in on them to see how they are doing, answer questions and do short lessons without juggling all my makeshift poster holders and propping of a "camera" as a document reader.

My Project

Teaching from home, a place that is not set up as a classroom, has created so many challenges. Having the resources/equipment available at home, will assist me to deliver high quality lesson to keep my students engaged and motivated .
