My Project

My students are Multilingual learners in grades Kindergarten through fifth, of varying levels of English Language proficiency. Our school is located in the Dongan Hills neighborhood in Staten Island, NY. Students represent home languages including Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, and other less common languages such as Ukrainain and Uzbek. These materials will allow for the purchase of learning centers to be printed, laminated and used to support and supplement the grade level curriculum. Hands on learning materials will help keep students engaged and motivated, making grade level standards accessible. The reusable pouches will allow for greater organization of materials to be reused each year.
