Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how eager my students are to learn Spanish, even though many of them are just beginning their language journey. They come to class ready to challenge themselves, and I want to give them the tools to succeed. Learning a new language can feel overwhelming, but hands-on activities make a huge difference in building confidence and retention.

The index cards and organizers I’m requesting will allow my students to create personalized vocabulary flashcards.

Writing out words, categorizing them by themes, and practicing with a physical tool will help reinforce their learning in a meaningful way. These materials will support interactive activities, like group games and self-quizzing, making studying more engaging and effective.

My goal for this project is to give students a structured, hands-on way to master Spanish vocabulary. What makes my students special is their determination and enthusiasm for learning. Many are balancing work, family, and other responsibilities, yet they still show up ready to grow their skills. These resources will empower them to take ownership of their learning, helping them build a strong foundation in Spanish that will serve them well in the future.
