My Students

The students in my class are a creative unique in their own ways. We have students who are trying to learn a new language, learn about a new place they are living in and assimilate to a new culture all at the same time to students who are dealing with social and emotion issues, to students with special needs. We work in a school where a majority of the students at considered the 1st generation in America. They need as much support as they can get in this new place they call home and school is sometimes their own constant.

Our students are like our own kids.

These children have been through more than many adults that I know and are so resilient. They need as much support and encouragement from people around them. We try to provide them with whatever they need to give them a safe and exhilarating learning experience.

My Project

Our students have their own ways to shine and they need us as teachers to help them find ways to shine and feel confident. Hands on activities and STEM projects are great for the brain and a lot of our students need it to help them focus and learn. These new materials will help our classroom be a learning place for all types of students. We are asking for materials for our STEM projects which will allow our students to be creative, learn to problem solve, work together and be engaged in their own learning. We need materials like therapuddy, legos, mad matter and bunches which allows students to explore and create they own projects.

Donating to this project will allow all the students in our classroom to engage and be apart of their own learning process.

These materials include different types of matter that students can build with and use to create different things. No only will these materials be used for STEM projects, but it can always help some of our students with special needs to stay focus, or to calm down when they need to.
