My Project

A classroom rug is an important learning space in the classroom.

When students come together as a class on the classroom rug, many skills are being developed!

Students have conversations with each other to connect. They discuss characters and make connections and differences between their lives. Skills to connect as a classroom family are built.

A comfy classroom rug allows space for students to encourage each other, open up conversations and develop listening and responding skills to better their friendships.

Unfortunately, the classroom rug that we use is damaged with stains and strong smells.

Carpet time supports early learners' academic and social-emotional skills. On the classroom rug, students will start and end their day at the rug. This rug will reinforce their alphabet knowledge, help students establish boundaries in finding their own space, and assist with daily routines. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students.
