My Students

Hi,

My name is Nicole and I teach a self-contained bridge class in Harlem.

I have 12 students who are all on different academic levels who receive modified work throughout the day. My students work very hard to meet the academic needs of the school that they currently attend. They are all very different with very interesting and sassy personalities.

In my classroom, we try many different types of instructions including project-based learning and using different types of technology to help fuel our learning!

My Project

My project is to replace my old broken headphones for new headphones for my students. The students will be able to use these headphones each day to complete I-ready testing. The students are required to complete at least 45 min. of reading and math diagnostic testing and online lessons for I-ready each week on a computer or laptop. When testing, it is read to the students through laptops and computers. If the students' headphones aren't working, they have difficulty understanding the questions they are being asked.

The headphones we currently have are either broken or do not work correctly which distract the students from completing their work.
