Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 3-4 years old students in my classroom are students who are a dual language group, at the moment, they are learning alphabet letter and numbers recognition, they are picking up word and phrases among Latinos, African American, Ethiopians, Japanese. Most of the student are in contact with two or three languages at home.

As a Preschool teacher, I have to be creative planning to offer a variety of hands-on activities allowing them an effective and quality of learning for reading, writing, speaking and visual, social emotional, math, alphabet letters and words books and manipulatives; engaging in role model conversation in order to make a fun learning for our early age students.

My golden goals are to improve social emotional developments, Language and literacy Developments, English Language Development, and Cognition Including Math and Science.

As young children learn by routine and repetition, we follow a regular schedule in the classroom. Following a Creative curriculum, after a large group, we rotate 3 small groups at three tables, for 5-7 minutes. this is the best time to identify our students needs and planning intentional instruction to help them to improve their weakness. After the rotation time they have free play time and Students continuing their intentional participation with the assistant of an adult with other requested material, manipulatives, books and games for the substantial portion of the day.
