This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need hands-on materials and visual aids to engage them further and provide them with their support. My students are hard workers and always try their best. They love to learn and are eager to come to school every day. However, they have challenges and deficits when reading.

I have a reading intervention class of students in 1st grade.

My focus is to strengthen their literacy skills to bridge their gap. Since my students struggle with letter sounds, recognition and blending, these materials will be beneficial to my students. They need hands-on materials and visual aids to engage them further and give them extra assistance where needed. My students will benefit from this by them reading better.
