My Project

I have an energetic group of Pre-K students who have special needs. They are a very loving group who are excited about learning and coming to school. I love watching them learn new skills and master their goals! My school's Speech Language Pathologist and I work together to help reach our students’ needs. Helping our students learn how to communicate their wants and needs appropriately is one of the major goals we have in this classroom. We do a lot of very specific lessons to target improving our students' communications needs in a non- distracting way. We need specific materials and visuals for each activity and need them to be readily available but out of sight.

These tote bags will allow us to have materials ready for on the go learning and small group activities.

The rubber totes will allow us to bring needed materials to mealtimes, such as favorite food items and core boards, the rubber material will allow us an easy cleanup if we have any spills. Mealtimes provide such wonderful learning opportunities for improving student’s communication skills. The cloth totes will allow us to pre-plan activities that we can do outside or in other small group areas. The totes will allow us to prepare all the materials we need that can be placed under the table or covered to hide from the students to prevent distractions.
