My Project

A flexible classroom is more than just a variety in seating. Flexible classrooms amplify student voice, foster deeper collaborative learning relationships, and prioritize students' learning needs. The tables, seats, and other materials added to this project have been carefully selected in alignment with evidence based teaching strategies.

This flexible classroom, or learning lounge, is being designed from scratch; my current classroom does not have the supplies to create this type of learning environment.

The seating options have been selected to allow students to move into collaborative groups easily and efficiently. Collaborative learning provides an opportunity for higher level thinking, the development of effective communication skills, and accountability for learning.
