Our kindergarten collaborative class includes general education students, as well as, special education students. Special needs may include children on the autism spectrum, children with communication and vision limitations, or blindness. We strive to have an inclusive class that meets the needs of every child.
Our classroom is full of students who are excited about learning.
By providing a flexible learning environment with multi-sensory instruction and activities, our children will grow by leaps and bounds.
My Project
This designated learning space will foster camaraderie and inclusion among peers. Students will have a meeting place where they can gather materials, resources and collaborate.
Students with low vision or who are blind can independently access this area because they will be able to feel the transition from the floor to the carpet under their feet.
Students who need mobility support can trail the furniture to move from one part of the learning lounge to another and access its resources and materials. The learning lounge will be an inviting, organized, and accessible area for children to be independent learners and teachers, too.
