My Students

Have you ever wondered what your life would be like if you were told you that you were a leader and capable of ANYTHING... and the person talking to you really believed that???? Leadership is communicating to people their worth and potential so clearly that they come to see it in themselves.-Covey

Our school is a small, high achieving neighborhood school in the heart of a large urban city.

The small size of our school (one of each grade K- 8th grade, and a full K-8 program for students on the Autism Spectrum) contributes to our unique family atmosphere that values fundamental regard for all children. Our learning community serves an economically and culturally diverse population of students living both in the surrounding neighborhood and communities from around the city, all of whom receive free breakfast and lunch each day.

My Project

This year, our school has embarked on our Leader In Me journey. "The Leader in Me is a whole-school transformation model that acts like the operating system of a computer—it improves the performance of all other programs. Based on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, The Leader in Me equips students with the self-confidence and skills they need to thrive in the 21st-century economy."- LeaderInMe These books will help our teachers integrate the 7 habits directly into our literacy instruction to help students really grasp the concepts on a easily relatable level.

With your help, I can bring the hands-on experiences to all levels of our students.

Fostering a love of reading while promoting promoting self-confidence, allowing students to see that everyone has genius, worth and value, while learning leadership skills will help set our students on a path of success with tools that will help them throughout their entire academic careers and into adulthood. Thank you for supporting our journey through the Leader In Me and our students leadership skills.
