This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This school year I have the privilege of working with preschool aged students. While I have been enjoying this new experience, many of my therapeutic materials are geared toward elementary students. Therefore, I need to build my collection of materials that will engage my preschool students.

The best and most developmentally appropriate method to target speech and language skills for toddlers is through play.

I am looking to add engaged toys and materials to build joint attention skills, increase vocabulary, learn to combine words and understand spoken language. I can already imagine my students' smiles as they explore these new materials!
