Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Today's generation is not as fortunate as we were growing up when it comes to playing outside with friends. This project can teach kids how to interact, run, throw, solve problems and embrace team sports.

We are a class of 100% ESL students with a focus and passion to learn and create.

My hope is that I can guide my students and continue developing their love for school and developing lifelong friendships through interactions. Our class is always trying new things and finding new ways to learn, but our resources are limited, and we need your help. This is a second grade class that is located in New York. This is a Title One school and the students come from low income housing. Each student in our school receives a free lunch. It is a large school that houses over 1000 students and the students need all of the extra support that they can get.

My Project

By contributing to this project you will aid in the growth of these amazing students. They desperately need alternate ways of building language skills and these sports games will provide it by allowing them to interact with each other, solve problems as teammates by reasoning, and develop a foundation of the English language.

Sadly, students cannot go outside and play freely without adult supervision.

They suffer because they do not understand the benefits of team sports. I grew up playing team sports my entire life and I can teach them the skills of teamwork, unselfishness, sportsmanship, running, throwing, cheering and support for one another.
