STEM is still a fairly new subject at our school, and we do not have many supplies yet. With your help, I will be able to purchase supplies that help 5th grade students engage in being active scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians. We are going to work collaboratively to construct various projects and challenges.
Students come to STEM excited to learn more about these subjects!
With the supplies like these various building supplies, so many students will be able to complete fun STEM challenges that use all sorts of various items (as included in this project) to help develop skills necessary to go to college and hold future jobs in the STEM career fields, such as engineers, zoologists, doctors, electricians, scientists, astronauts many more options.
These challenges include but are not limited to designing the tallest spaghetti tower, designing the most effective shooting device, collaborating to solve a problem with given materials, and many other plans. Additionally, students will engage in a STEM project based on our novel study of the book The Wild Robot Escapes. Students will access their challenges daily based on the events in the story, and having a storage space for each student's assignments will help keep us organized throughout our ongoing projects. We will be able to complete fun STEM challenges that use all sorts of various items (as included in this project) to help develop skills necessary to go to college and hold future jobs in the STEM career fields, such as engineers, zoologists, doctors, electricians, scientists, astronauts many more options. Working collaboratively in groups, students will be able to solve a problem with given materials, and learn to work together as a team!
