Each child in my classroom loves learning and comes to school each morning eager to enter class with a big smile on their faces. My students have outstanding characteristics they bring to the class. All my students are sweet and kind friends to that new student. Some offer to help a sad friend. Students in my class always want to help me. That may include cleaning desks, reading a book to the class, or picking up trash on the floor.
I have the most amazing 1st graders that deserve to be comfortable in a student-led learning environment.
Although the method and environment they learn best will vary depending on attention issues such as ADHD or behavior issues. I incorporate various learning strategies. I need to offer more alternative options to ensure my outstanding group of first graders’ needs are met! They are indeed are an incredible group of students, and I am so blessed and thankful to have a diverse group of learners who are excited and ready to learn!
My Project
Make learning a memorable and fun experience as we use STEM in our classroom. This project will help students with math, critical thinking skills, and social-emotional growth.
Building in the classroom supports students to figure out problems like they would have to in real-life situations.
Colaberatly working together as a group to work on the kits asked will also enrich social skills and math thinking.
Brickyard Building Blocks STEM Toys - Educational Building Toys
This set of toys comes with 42 designs that will help students use logical Thinking, Team Building Skills, and great math concepts. The objective of this activity pack is to enrich students in my classroom. Students will use Hand-Eye Coordination, Creative Thinking, Motor Skills, Problem Solving Skills, and STEM.
Do you remember wanting to build forts? Why not do this during my center time as students work collaboratively to create a fort with sticks and instructions. Students will love to develop social and emotional skills as they figure this out as a group. Students will build confidence.
