This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I see that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. In my classroom, I strive to create a positive learning environment in which they can thrive. In our class, our goal is to give our all everyday.
My students are sweet, smart and hardworking.
They deserve the very best that this world has to offer. I can't wait to watch them achieve their hopes and dreams!
My Project
We complete tons of Science experiments that require a stop watch. We do not have a classroom set of stop watches so we normally have to complete the experiments one group at a time, or as a whole class. Having a classroom set of stop watches will make a huge difference in my classroom, and will allow my students to complete more hands on projects. These timers will also help my students to better measure the time they have to complete labs and assignments. Students will also be able to read and record their data on their own if we are able to receive this new technology.
