My Students

My students are outgoing and inquisitive learners ready to jump start the new year. My students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds and most come from low socioeconomic status. This group is very humorous that keeps our learning fun and exciting.

My Project

At our Title I school, variety is not always an option. I want to be able to provide my students with the option to learn in ways that are better suited for their needs. Students today have a hard time staying focused when in the same seat and environment all day long. With these surfer seats and rug, I will be able to provide them with a change of seating and scenery to help keep their busy minds focused. I want to offer a new and comfortable area in the classroom that allows my students to learn in a way that gives them a new learning experience and will help build our classroom community.

My goal when using these flexible learning seats and environment will be a calmer classroom with less distraction to help improve our learning outcomes, especially in writing to help give the students a more focused area that will give a better support for their growing minds.
