Learning in Motion

My students need 12 Gaiam balance balls and 12 Kore wobble chairs and 2 bean bag chairs to provide flexible seating to meet the diverse needs of my student population.

My Students

The goal of my classroom and my district is to provide an EPIC education. We engage, prepare, inspire and challenge all students, teaching Ohio's standards by providing engaging lessons that are differentiated based on the individual needs of my students.

My students attend a suburban Title I school in Ohio.

I teach an inclusion class with multiple needs, so the ability to move throughout the day using active seating is a must. Using flexible seating will allow students to process information required to be successful.

My Project

All of my students have different learning needs and sitting in a traditional classroom chair and desk is no different. The Gaiam balance balls,and Kore wobble chairs will provide my student population the opportunity to learn and move to strengthen their core muscles and actively engage their brains in the learning process.

In my classroom, I value the whole child by providing a learning environment that allows the ability of flexible seating to accommodate the wide range of students needs.

In order to allow for differentiation of seating, students will benefit from clipboards to complete their daily work in a mobile classroom with core strengthening chairs and balls.

By funding this project will allow my students the ability to learn in motion!
