My Project

I want to create an inviting classroom that is the optimal environment for comfort, collaboration, learning, and productivity. This will be provided through choice in location around the classroom and the choice of chairs, stools, and pillows for completing classwork.

Flexible seating facilitates student-centered, collaborative learning, fosters a positive classroom community, and promotes kinesthetic learning.

Students will have choices of seating outside of traditional desks. Sitting on the floor with pillows and clipboards will provide them with choice. Crates will help them to organize their materials in notebooks.

Being a part of this type of classroom will create two classes of students who LOVE reading and become life-long learners!
