Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Squishing, rolling, sculpting, molding . . . my children love to play with playdough. Add some props from around the classroom and playdough play becomes a powerful way to support my kids' learning. This simple preschool staple lets children use their imaginations and strengthen the small muscles in their fingers—the same muscles they will one day use to hold a pencil and write. Using playdough with a friend supports a child’s social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and enjoying being with other people. Playdough also encourages children’s language and literacy, science, and math skills—all at the same time!

These resources will help them practice their letters and numbers in a fun and engaging way.
