Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school year has just begun and my second graders are ready to learn! Since the first day of school, my students have been eager to learn. They came to school excited and wanting to tell me what they would like to learn this school year.

My students are ENL students from various backgrounds.

They are still learning how to speak English, some are struggling and some are not but, what they all have in common is the will to learn.

My Project

My students are ESL students trying to master the English language. When I was in school I learned the traditional way, pen, paper, and books. Things have changed over time and we have entered a digital world. Learning and teaching should reflect this change and we should prepare our students for a brighter future.

The iPads and printer we are hoping to get will help us on this journey.

The kids from today are learning better and faster with digital items. We should not deprive these students of this new way of learning. The digital world is the way of the future so we should get them ready for it.
