My Students

My amazing seventh and eighth grade students are eager to learn and experience new things. My school is a title one school which means my students come from households with very low incomes. Many of my students are new to the country as well. In my classroom , I try to expose them to the many career opportunities that are available to them. One of the careers that I focus on is coding. My students love to learn and despite their many obstacles would truly benefit from a donation to help them learn how to code.

My Project

Students in my technology classes are learning how to code online. The website that we are using requires them to watch videos to help them learn . There are 32 students in my classes and it can be very hard for my students to focus.

Access to headphones will help my students listen to tutorials on how to code without any distractions.

The memory cards will be very useful when my students receive their coding certificates, they will be able to save their file to the card and print it out. They will also be very helpful when printing out supplemental materials from the coding website to help them learn.
