Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The first part of the project consists of some things to make my students' learning more accessible. With organized desk spaces, folders, and timers to keep them on track, they will know what to do, how to do it, and where to find everything! These housekeeping items are vital to creating a classroom climate where learning is organized and accessible, getting rid of the clutter and focusing on new content!
The second part of the project is directly related to student achievement.
As students do well on tests, projects, or show outstanding behavior, they will be given prizes. These prizes will provide motivation to keep going. As the poorest district in our state, our students appreciate any extra help, toys, etc. we can give them. Small things mean a lot to these kids!
