My Students

Pre-K is an exhilarating and fun age for students. My students are learning about letter-sound relationships, numbers, shapes, colors, and how to hold a pencil. They are always willing to learn and ask many questions. They love using hands-on learning, where they can make a connection in their growing minds.

I love going to school each day to watch their resilient minds grow.

In my classroom, we work together and cheer each other along. They are constantly teaching me with how fast they learn, and the types of relationships they build with each other.

My Project

When Covid-19 first started, I missed getting to see my students everyday. In this project, I have many different materials that will help my students with their academic learning. One thing I included in this project is books. This year my students love books. Introducing them to different books, will help my students develop background knowledge, and can expand their own vocabulary. When we were not in school, due to Covid-19, one way I found to connect to my students were reading them stories. I enjoyed finding books, and recording a video surrounded by things similar to the book's story. For example, I would read books about horses, and included my own horses in the videos. My students love seeing the animals I used throughout my videos. Now I want to share the joy of reading with all my current and future students to come.

All the materials in my project will help my students advance their overall academic, social, and physical learning.

The art materials I included in this project will help my students explore their creative minds. One way students learn is through exploring. My students sometimes do this by creating art projects. They love to get messy and have fun. As a Pre-K teacher, I always say before we start a project: "It is going to get messy, but the kids will have fun. That is all that matters". What is great about art projects are that they are fun, and they help my students develop important fine motor skills. I included play materials as well. Pre-K is a very important age for kids. They start to learn important skills. During free play, students can use their creative minds and imagination. They also learn how to work with other students in a positive way.
