My students are like my kids. I am a special education teacher so I have the opportunity to have my students for multiple years. This helps us get to know each other on a more intimate level. They are a bunch of kids that come from diverse backgrounds outside of school, but when they enter the school building we are FAMILY!
My Project
The materials that have been requested will help all of my learning support students from kindergarten to 2nd grade. It will help them learn to identify money, as well as, how it to use it to buy everyday essentials.
Learning Good Money Sense is a skill that needs to be developed at an early age.
This financial literacy kit offers a wide range of activities for our youngest learners that focus on identifying and counting money. The activities can be utilized in a small group setting or as a whole group lesson. My main goal, as a teacher, is to prepare my students for the “Real World” so learning these skills early is an essential part of everyday learning.
