My Students

We are a small K-5 school filled with students who are wonderful to work with! They are a diverse group of students in terms of race, income, gender, and ability levels, all looking for a chance to be successful. I have students who work at high levels and love to be challenged, down to students who need that nudge.

Many of the students struggle with issues adults couldn't deal with, but still find a way to come to school and participate in the learning process.

We are a family of learners, myself included. Every day is a new day of learning, loving, and respecting each other. We are an awesome community working hard at being the best that we can be in this virtual learning environment!

My Project

One of the things you want to avoid when you are learning at home are distractions. It is very difficult to learn at home without headphones.

Headphones are a lifesaver, especially if you are in an environment with siblings who are learning at home as well, or parents who are working from home.

It's not true that 5th graders don't like picture books. As a matter of fact, they love them! What a great way to read and enjoy a book together, remotely.

The flashcards and the map skills books are resources that my students can use whether they are at home or in school. The monitor gives me that "second eye" to make sure all my students are attentive to learning in this virtual environment.
