This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is hungry for books. These third graders are avid readers that can't stop reading and talking about their books. I teach a group of bilingual students that almost went through the entire fiction section of our classroom library, and every week I see them picking everything they can put their hands on.

My students' interests include a variety of genres and topics ranging from animals and natural disasters to mystery and graphic novels.

Our classroom library needs to be replenished with updated high-interest books in Spanish so I can provide my students with the high quality and engaging texts they deserve and that will support their academic development.

My Project

Students are working on line. They connect every morning, set up their laptops, listen to their teacher and work with enthusiasm. With a white board they will be able to show what they are learning to the class and teacher. Classrooms have moved to homes and school supplies should too. I will distribute white boards, paper, rulers, markers so my students can keep up with the rigorous works we always provide at school.

My students will be able to show what they are learning from home with these supplies.

They will write, read and do math and be proud of their progress with all the essential materials they need. With the appropriate tools my students will learn from home as if they were right here with me in the classroom.
