My Project

The Pre-K year is filled with learning and exploring the world around us. We teach the children using thematic units. We love to include many hands on experiences. One of their favorite things to do is to cook a special treat.

Cooking with our Pre-K students is packed with opportunities to learn and practice academics.

For example, Science, Math, Language, and Literacy. This is why we are asking for a convection oven and a new refrigerator. We have been using a crockpot and a very small toaster oven for our special treats. Our current refrigerator is over 20 years old and we have to tape the door shut to keep it closed.

Our little learners would be so excited to be able to cook more special treats in school with the new oven. They would also benefit academically from the experiences they will have in making and baking these treats. And they always get to take a treat home to share with their families. As always we appreciate the generosity of our donors.
