My Project

My Kindergarten students are kind, fun and excited to learn English. I am an English as a Second Language teacher to four Kindergarten classrooms. Many of my students are new-to-the-country and are learning English for the first time. One of the best ways to teach new material to such young students is through play. To that end, I have requested MagnaTiles, stamps (and so many stamp colors!), dress up dolls, and story cards (cards with imaginative illustrations that prompt students to practice their oral language skills).

Mr. Rogers once said "play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning."

My students are ready to work hard and play hard and learn a new language. Thank you for considering this project!
