Help me give my students the benefit of reading not just current events, but history as well. In addition, they will also gain basic skills such as reading a timeline or reading a map.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students, which represent a diverse group of learners, need access to materials that cover current events, an additional component of our social studies curriculum. They will also have readings on historical events and work at improving their basic skills in map reading, timelines, and reading comprehension.
Using current events is one way to get students interested in reading.
Junior Scholastic also offers my students an opportunity to see the world that they are not aware of. I can never know what events will come for the next school year, but at least I'll be ready to go.
