This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Basic school supplies are critical for any student. My students are enrolled in a school that is fully Title 1. 80% of my students receive free or reduced lunch. My students struggle to bring in the necessary supplies needed for daily learning. In many situations, families are struggling to combat the effects of the recent inflation and school supplies are just something there isn't money for. Glue sticks and crayons are frequently used in my classroom and at home.

Additionally, the school has tried their best to keep a supply of facial masks for students.

However, supply has been deplited. It is my goal to keep students safe within my classroom during the rise of the flu, RSV, and COVID-19.

With your help, it is my hope to keep students learning and safe while doing it.
