Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to include block play in my classroom to help children learn to take take turns, share materials and develop new friendships. Block play helps support social emotional development and also teaches critical thinking skills and problem solving. In order to make this possible, I need to add more materials in my current block area.

The new materials will provide more opportunites for children to engage in.

It will also strenghen fine and gross motor skills and develop academic math concepts such as counting, addition, subtraction, shapes, geometry, comparison and spatial reasoning.
