My Students

My classroom consists of 19 amazing, bright-eyed first grade students who vary in their abilities. In my classroom, I teach inclusion students who have specific learning disabilities, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students, and gifted and general education students. Even though my students differ in background knowledge, capabilities, and interests, they each have their own special talents and all come to school ready and eager to learn. Their excitement for learning and taking on new challenges is always uplifting and constantly keeps a smile on my face.

My Project

Students will be able to use the iPad Air with our Osmo learning kits. The games are easily interchangable with a quick change in apps on the iPad. Students will be able to learn how to use basic coding skills through hands-on discovery. The Osmo Pizza Co. game will allow students to practice their money skills as they count out money and make change for pizza transactions through their pretend company.

Osmo Coding and Pizza game allows for fun and interactive learning for coding and money skills.

These tools will help students remain engaged during lessons and will give them the opportunity to practice the skills they've learned with a partner or independently. We are so excited and look forward to using these Osmo kits and the iPad in our classroom!
