it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For this project, I am requesting supplies for my students to learn and practice Chinese calligraphy. Working with a paraprofessional in my classroom who is from China, students in my mixed-media classes will learn the art of Chinese calligraphy by using specific brushes, paper, and ink. This project will also help students learn and celebrate Lunar New Year. I am also requesting decorations such as lanterns, a paper dragon, and lucky cards.
With many of our students celebrating Lunar New Year, learning about the holiday and traditions through art is a wonderful way to create an inclusive school community.
