Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are very eager to learn. We have found that they have had varying levels of access to learning and understanding throughout remote learning. Differentiated centers are a great way for us to meet every student where they are and help them grow! They help us find interesting and interactive ways to engage students in learning and help them find success even after learning remotely through the pandemic. Students will have materials and differentiated small group lessons provided for them daily. We love this style of teaching so we can have the greatest impact on the largest group of students. These learning centers will provide students with direct instruction in Phonics and Reading that will help our lowest level readers grow as learners and readers. Reading is fundamental so these centers will be hyper focused on meeting their individual needs and help students close their Reading gaps by at least 1 grade level. We also have Math centers planned that will help meet students where they are. These centers will provide students with number sense and fluency practice which will help our students close learning gaps from the last few years in this pandemic.
