Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hands-on math! This is a great way my students love to learn. Working in small groups will help me see how I can help them best. By providing my students with some new and hands on materials they will definitely love to learn.

This year I will be working with gifted enthusiastic third graders that are ready to be challenged.

They are eager to learn new things. I want to be ready to provide them the best opportunities when learning. They really enjoy working in small groups, where they have a chance to learn from me and each other. They are a great group of children that come from low income homes but have great potential to succeed in life if given the right tools and guidance.

My Project

The materials I'm requesting will be used in different ways and settings. I plan to use the laminating pouches to laminate the cover pages for their writing folders as we prepare for Writer's Workshop. They will also help protect art pieces they create during school year. The timers will be used for daily practice with fluency and multiplication facts. The base 10 stamps, ink pads and magnetic easel will be used for small group instruction and practice.

I know my students will love using these materials because they will practice new goals in third grade.

They will use their creativity in different ways to show or prove their thinking. Art and writing will be show cased with laminating pouches. Small group instruction or group work will be more interactive and simply fun!
