Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As a teacher, I know students need to be in an environment that is organized and at times, very quiet. It is also known that at times reading is not the most fun thing for students. I would like to create an environment that allows students to be comfortable while engaging in learning! This project can change the way that students think and interpret reading!

While all the items in the classroom are for the enhancement of learning, having personal space helps students feel a part of their classroom setting.

They feel like they belong here. Students will be able to locate their personal items that are located in their personal seat sacks. The tennis balls will allow chairs to be moved around the classroom without disturbing or interrupting learning. The cozy sofa allows students to relax while reading some of their favorite books.
