Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At this listening center, my students will listen to a story and then they will be able to talk about the story with their friends BUT the best part is is that they'll be able to listen to books for FUN. I truly feel that students need to find the joy in reading to be able to foster a love for it. This will help with reading comprehension and allow them to develop excellent social skills.

I am requesting Tonies audio books to listen to during our listening center, recess and our after school clubs for students that need extra support in reading or just simply love to read.

The best part is is that students will be able to sign out our Tonies kit and our different audio books to listen to on their own or with a friend. This is an "old school" concept but still vital to student learning and growth.

Other book topics will be STEM, mathematic literacy, science and more.
