My Students

I’m a Special Education teacher of the Integrated Co-Teaching Kindergarten Classroom. My students are delightful, energetic and motivated young learners. Their first year in school is full of excitement and growth. We will be focusing throughout this year on mastering academic skills.

Not everyone learns in the same way. While an auditory or visual learner may be able to master skills by watching or listening, kinesthetic learners will learn better if they perform the task themselves. Offering hands-on activities will benefit all types of learners in my integrated classroom since the students will be provided with opportunities to not only listen and observe but to perform as well.

My Project

I’d like to encourage my students to be creative, think outside the box, and to be proud of their achievements.

My kindergartners have just started taking the first steps towards their formal education.

They are still shy to participate in conversations and express themselves during classroom discussions. They are just building their vocabulary and expanding their language skills.

Having the Phonics Games, word puzzles and Art materials, presented in my project, I will provide them with opportunities to develop their language skills and practice reading and writing. Having the art materials at hand, my students will be able to put their thoughts in drawings, tell their stories and create beautiful things.
