Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are at different levels and I want to meet their academic needs. With the items I listed, my goal is to help my students with guided practice for them to learn to recognize the letters, practice their English acquisition, and present this learning through active play. Students learn better with play and using these items during centers and small groups will help facilitate their academic goal. It will make their goal closer to reach and meet.

My students are a sweet group of students who love to learn and they learn best through games and play.

They are an active group that always keeps me on my feet and ask a million of questions throughout the day. They have that hunger for learning that I love so much. When they have their lightbulb moment is what makes everything worth it because you were part of that process for them to learn. The long hours of finding new strategies and finding new ways to present the learning targets, make it all worth it when you witness that student who struggle at the beginning of the year meet their goal. Getting them to read, write, and count is a challenge that makes me each day have a purpose. The items listed serve different functions and can be used in different ways. For example, the English sound tubs would work to expand vocabulary, practice counting syllables, practice alliteration through sorting and so much more activities. All the items serve a purpose and a learning target.
