My third graders are enthusiastic learners! They are inquisitive, bright, caring, compassionate, and filled with wonder. Our small, rural school is located near the southern coast of Oregon. We work hard to foster an environment that promotes collaboration, creativity and fosters communication throughout our day.
We pride ourselves on lifting each other up, as we strive toward a common goal of developing students who are critical thinkers, innovators, and role models.
We have a long way to go toward achieving this goal; however, with your help, I know we can make it. In our class, we live by the motto, "The good you do, will come back to you!"
My Project
Recently, I attended a local theater to watch my students in a musical. During intermission, I noted how the theatre seats were at different elevations to ensure every patron could see well. I would love to apply this same idea to my classroom.
The addition of 12 tall student chairs will ensure each student in our classroom can see the board clearly!
By altering the high of my students' chairs, students can look over the top of individuals seating in front of them. The tables we currently have in our class can easily be adjusted to accommodate these new tall chairs.
With your help, it is easy to envision the children learning at different levels, quite literally!
